For cats experiencing hock discomfort, lameness, or neuromuscular issues, the Balto® Hock Feline may be able to help. When felines present limited movement due to a hock or Achilles tendon injury, this brace is an excellent option. This brace ensures hind legs are well-supported and protected by this non-neoprene compression wrap, which allows for an optimal range of motion. For active cats that could use some extra support, this hock brace is a great choice.

BRACE APPLICATIONS

  • Post-surgical support
  • Structural support for soft tissue injuries to the hock joint
  • Chronic hock pain management
  • Complementary treatment option to physical therapy – can be used in combination with hydrotherapy and acupuncture
  • This brace can be used on healthy joints, muscles and ligaments to prevent injury and provide structural support.
  • Wound management; protection of bandages from biting, licking, gravity and friction

BRACE FEATURES

  • Single angled airplane aluminum splint that is slightly malleable for a more custom fit.
  • Adjustable upper and lower padding straps can be lengthened or shortened on the leg to ensure an excellent fit

Learn How Properly Fit the Balto Hock to Your Cat

All Balto® braces are made from high-quality materials, not neoprene - which has been known to collect bacteria, provide inadequate support, and wear down quickly. A variety of sizes ensure a secure fit. No pinching straps.

For indoor-outdoor cats, please remove the brace prior to going outside.

Recommended for all ages unless otherwise advised by veterinarians. Apply brace for balanced increments of time, if appropriate, for pets under the age of 2 to prevent possible growth disturbances.

  3. By hand, use warm water and a gentle cleansing soap to remove any stains and odors.
  4. Rinse soap thoroughly from the brace
  5. Hang to dry. Once the brace is completely dry, it is ready for use!
