As an alternative to the conventional Elizabethan e-collar, the Balto Neck Eco provides a more comfortable fit. This non-neoprene constructed neck brace allows air to circulate while blocking the neck's extension, which can help reduce instances of self-injury. No cervical support should be expected from this neck brace. This brace is designed to be comfortable for cats, so they may wear their identifying collar and still lead active lives. When it comes to protecting wounds, allergies, or healing sites from biting, licking, or scratching, the Eco brace is a great choice for cats that still want to be able to move around freely.

BRACE APPLICATIONS
  • Can be used in coordination with orthopedic bracing while training pets to adjust to their bracing; preventing damage to the brace or further injury.
  • Protection self-harming behaviors like biting, licking or scratch at wounds
  • Wound management; protection of bandages from biting, licking, gravity and friction
BRACE FEATURES
  • One wide collar, in feline-friendly sizing, that can be placed on two different ways to best provide body-only coverage. The extended side can support below the neck, or in the opposite position, down the spine to help support flexion/extension of the neck
  • Adjustable straps ensure an excellent fit

Maintenance & Repair

A clean brace not only prevents infections, irritation, and a stinky smell; but it also allows your brace to last longer. To help support the longevity of your bracing device, here are some of our tips on how to properly clean your orthopedic bracing:

  1. Remove as much hair as possible from any Velcro® frequently to prevent compaction.
  2. Use lint roller or lightly adhesive tape to remove hair from the material of the brace.
  3. By hand, use warm water and a gentle cleansing soap to remove any stains and odors.
  4. Rinse soap thoroughly from the brace
  5. Hang to dry. Once the brace is completely dry, it is ready for use!
